Eesti Energia to issue €300m 4.25% notes due 2018

Following an extensive European investor roadshow last week Eesti Energia (Baa1/BBB+) has today launched and priced an offering of €300 million 4.25% Notes due on 2 October 2018. The Notes have been priced at +248 basis points over the interpolated midswap rate to yield 4.405%.

The transaction attracted a high quality and strong order book that exceeded €650 million with 96 investors participating. The geographic allocation of the Notes was the following - Scandinavia and Estonia 39%, Switzerland 20%, Austria 12%, France 11%, UK 10%, Rest of Europe 8%. In terms of investor type, the allocation was the following – Fund Managers 41%, Insurance Companies 36%, Banks & Private Banks 15% and Pension Funds 8%.

Closing and settlement of the offering will be completed on 2 April 2012. The Notes will be listed on the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange. The Notes are expected to be rated Baa1 by Moody´s and BBB+ by Standard and Poor´s. The net proceeds of the offering will be used for general corporate purposes, including financing the capital expenditure program of Eesti Energia.

Deutsche Bank and Nordea Markets were acting as Joint Bookrunners for this transaction.
