Eesti Energia supervisory board today granted approval for Eesti Energia to participate on a tender with preliminary negotiations for acquiring 1907 properties from the Republic of Estonia. These properties are necessary for developing the energy sector and operating activity. About 1850 properties are equipped with technical installations belonging to Eesti Energia or are land units used to service such installations. Total area of the properties put up for a tender is about 2900 hectares.

The Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications will sell the properties via public tender with preliminary negotiations. The deadline for submitting bids is 7 December 2009, opening price of the tender is 428,000,000 kroons. Marina Bachmann
