As of 16 January, Merlis Nõgene is the Communication Director of Eesti Energia. His duty is managing strategic communication of the group and work of the entire communication service.

Merlis Nõgene graduated from the department of radio production at the Tallinn Pedagogical University. He has worked for the newspaper Eesti Päevaleht, Eesti Televisioon, Radio Kuku and magazine Arvutimaailm. For the last three yeas, Merlis Nõgene was the head of communications in Webmedia Group, the largest software development company in the Baltic States.

Communication service of Eesti Energia supports the commercial activities of the group by offering communication support, starting from internal communication and ending with media relations.
