Eesti Energia got a new Supervisory Board

Half of the members of the eight member Board of Eesti Energia are appointed by the Minister of Economic Affairs, and the other half by the Minister of Finance.

Juhan Parts, the Minister of Economic Affairs, appointed the following Supervisory Board members: Jürgen Ligi, Jüri Käo, Rein Kilgi and Aivar Reiviku. By decision of Ivari Padar, the Minister of Finance, Board members Toomas Luman and Meelis Atonen shall remain on the Supervisory Board, and new members are Meelis Virkebau and Rene Tammist.

A press officer of the Ministry of Economics Affairs announced that on Thursday, Juhan Parts, the Minister of Economic Affairs, removed Board members Heido Vitsur, Värner Lootsmann, Janno Reiljan and Mihhail Stalnuhhin.

By decision of Ivari Padar, the Minister of Finance, Toomas Luman and Meelis Atonen remain on the Board of Eesti Energia, and the new members are Meelis Virkebau and Rene Tammist, said Annikky Lamp, the director of the communications department of the Ministry.

Therefore, with Padar’s decision, Urmas Sõõrumaa, who gave notice of his decision to resign as Chairman of the Board, and the Board member from the Rahvaliit fraction, Tiit Tammsaar, have lost their positions.
