Supervisory Board approved Eesti Energia’s new management

Yesterday, 19 September, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia approved Sandor Liive’s proposal of new management. In august, the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia appointed Sandor Liive as the CEO for Eesti Energia for the next three years. Along with his strong vision of future corporate management, Sandor Liive introduced the Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia AS with his new team. Present members of the Management Board CFO Margus Kaasik and Director of the Supply Tiit Nigul will continue as the members of the Management Board. Manager of the developmental projects and regulatory issues Harri Mikk and Raine Pajo, current Chairman of the Management of the National Grid - responsible for technology field of Eesti Energia will join the Management Board as the new members. “Eesti Energia is about to face some challenging times requiring strong and professional team. Candidates approved by the supervisory board have great expertise and are excellent managers” – said Sandor Liive, Chairman of the Management Board. “I am pleased to know we will work together for the next three years towards achieving previously set goals” – added Liive. The Supervisory Board of Eesti Energia granted the power of the attorney for further negotiations and contracts to Urmas Sõrumaa. New management will come in force as of 1 December 2006.
