Appointment of new Supervisory Council members
The Extraordinary General Meeting of Eesti Energia held on 06 October 2015 passed the resolution subject to which Supervisory Council member Mr Randel Länts was recalled. The Extraordinary General Meeting appointed Mr Ants Pauls and Mr Veiko Tali as new members of the Supervisory Council.
Mr Ants Pauls is the Chairman of the Narva Chamber of the Pro Patria and Res Publica Union and the Member of the party’s Audit Committee. His political career also includes positions as member of the Narva city council in 2007-2009 and member of Estonia’s Parliament in 2003-2007. In addition to his career in politics, Mr Pauls has extensive experience in the energy sector, having worked in Eesti Energia Group from 1963 to 2003, including positions as the Head of Narva Power Plants in 1999-2003 and member of Supervisory Council of five Eesti Energia group subsidiaries. In 2007-2009 he worked as the Vice Chairman of Kiviõli Keemiatööstus OÜ. Mr Pauls has graduated from Tallinn Technical University as a mechanical engineer.
Mr Veiko Tali is the Secretary-General of the Estonian Ministry of Finance (since 2011). He has worked in the Ministry since 1993, heading departments in areas of ownership reform, securities markets and financial policy, and acting as Deputy Secretary General in 2004-2011. Mr Tali has graduated from the economics department of the Moscow State University.
